Sentence is a calm reading app that helps you read books and documents one sentence at a time.
You can use sentence. for free with our built-in public-domain and openly licensed books, and you can also import your own supported files for local reading on your device. If you want a higher daily translation allowance, you can subscribe to sentence Plus.

sentence Plus focuses on translation-heavy reading and gives you a higher daily translation allowance on supported books.

- Up to 250 translations per day on supported books

- Keep reading in the same calm sentence view
- Access to future translation-related improvements we add over time
Supported import formats may include plain text, Markdown, JSON, PDF, EPUB, AZW, and AZW3 depending on current app support.
Some formats, including EPUB, AZW, and AZW3, may still be in development and may not work perfectly with every file. Files that are encrypted, DRM-protected, damaged, or unusually formatted may not import correctly.
What you are buying
You are buying access to software functionality in Sentence.
Sentence does not sell books. Sentence does not sell copyrighted book content. Sentence does not provide access to copyrighted libraries.
The included sample books are public-domain or openly licensed works used to demonstrate the reader.
When you import your own files, you are responsible for making sure you own them or have the legal right to use them.
Local-only imports
Imported files are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to Sentence servers.
This means:
- we do not host your imported books
- we do not distribute your imported books
- we do not sell or provide book files
- deleting local app data may remove imported files and reading progress from that device
Translation
Sentence may offer sentence-by-sentence translation for supported books.
When you request a translation, only the specific sentence you choose may be sent to a third-party translation provider. Full books and imported documents are not uploaded for translation.
Translation quality, availability, and daily usage may vary depending on provider limits and current app support. Free and paid tiers may have different daily usage allowances.
Payments
Payments are processed by Paddle. Paddle may handle checkout, tax, payment processing, receipts, and billing support.
Refunds
We offer a 14-day refund window for eligible first payments for sentence Plus.
If you are unhappy with your purchase, contact us at support@readsentence.com within 14 days and we will help arrange a refund where eligible.
